I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
