During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.
Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.
Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a distinct Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.
Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.
The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to restore power.
A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.
Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.
The assaults follow nights of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.
The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.
Government officials told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
